Kiyosato Ihatov Hostel Terms and Conditions




Scope of Application

Article 1.
The accommodation contract and related contracts that this hostel concludes with guests shall be in accordance with the provisions of these General Conditions of Use, and any matters not stipulated in these General Conditions of Use shall be in accordance with the laws and regulations or generally established indignant practices.

2.In the event that the hostel agrees to special terms and conditions that do not violate laws, regulations, or customs, those special terms and conditions shall prevail notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph.

3.These terms and conditions shall also apply to the accommodation of youth hostel members.


Application for Accommodation

Article 2.
When applying for an accommodation contract with this hostel, the following information must be provided to this hostel.
(1) Name, number of guests, gender, date of birth, address, and telephone number
(2) Date of stay and estimated time of arrival
(3) Accommodation fee (as a rule, based on the accommodation fee published on our hostel website)
(4) Any other information that the hostel deems necessary.

2. In the event that a guest requests to continue their stay beyond the date of stay set forth in item 2 of the preceding paragraph during their stay, the hostel will process the request in accordance with the provisions of these terms and conditions as if a new accommodation contract had been applied for at the time the request was made.


About the establishment of accommodation contracts, etc.

Article 3.
The accommodation contract shall be concluded when our hostel accepts the application as described in the preceding article. However, this shall not apply if the hostel does not accept the application.
2. When the accommodation contract is concluded in accordance with the preceding paragraph, the application fee specified by this hostel up to the basic accommodation charge for the period of stay (if it exceeds 3 days, 3 days) shall be paid by the date specified by this hostel.
3. The application fee shall first be appropriated to the final accommodation charge to be paid by the guest, and in the event that the provisions of Articles 6 and 18 apply, it shall be appropriated in the order of penalty followed by compensation, and the balance, if any, shall be returned at the time of payment of the charge in accordance with the provisions of Article 12.
4. If the application fee mentioned in paragraph 2 is not paid by the date specified by the hostel in accordance with the provisions of the same paragraph, the accommodation contract shall cease to be effective. However, this shall be the case only when the hostel has notified the guest of the date of payment of the application fee.


Special Provisions for Not Requiring Payment of the Application Fee

Article 4.
Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 2 of the preceding article, our hostel may accept a special agreement not to require the payment of the application fee mentioned in the same paragraph after the contract has been concluded.
2. In the event that the hostel does not request payment of the application fee as described in paragraph 2 of the preceding article, or does not specify the date of payment of the application fee, the hostel will treat the application as if it had complied with the special agreement described in the preceding paragraph.


Refusal to Conclude Accommodation Contracts

Article 5.
Our hostel may not accept the conclusion of an accommodation contract in any of the following cases.
(1) When the application for accommodation is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.
(2) When there is no room available due to full occupancy.
(3) When it is recognized that a person who intends to stay at the hotel is likely to commit an act that is against the provisions of laws and regulations, public order, or good manners and customs.
(4) When it is recognized that the accommodation applicant falls under any of the following 1 to 3.
1. A person who is a member of a crime syndicate as defined in Article 2, Item 2 of the Law Concerning Prevention of Unjust Acts by Members of Crime Syndicates (Law No. 77 of 1991) (hereinafter referred to as a "crime syndicate"), or a member of a crime syndicate as defined in Article 2, Item 6 of the same law (hereinafter referred to as a "member of crime syndicate") 2. Anti-social forces such as organized crime groups or organized crime groups
2. When the applicant is a juridical person or other organization whose business activities are controlled by a crime syndicate or a crime syndicate member
3. A juridical person whose officers are members of a crime syndicate.
(5) When a person who intends to stay at the hotel behaves in a manner that causes significant inconvenience to other guests.
(6) When a person who intends to stay at the hotel is recognized as a person with a contagious disease.
(7) When a violent demand is made or a burden exceeding a reasonable range is requested in relation to accommodation.
(8) When the hotel is unable to accommodate the guest due to a natural disaster, breakdown of the facilities, or other unavoidable reasons.
(9) When the case falls under the provisions of Article 5, Item 3 of the Ryokan Business Act.
(10) When the guest has committed any of the acts described in (3), (5) or (7) of this article in the past.


Guests' Right to Cancel Contract

Article 6.
The guest may cancel the accommodation contract by informing this hostel.
2.In the event that the guest cancels the accommodation contract in whole or in part for reasons attributable to the guest (except in the case that the hostel has specified a due date for payment of the application fee and requested payment in accordance with the provisions of Article 3, paragraph 2, and the guest cancels the accommodation contract before the payment), the hostel will charge a penalty fee (Article 6, paragraph 4).
3. If the guest does not arrive at 10:00 p.m. on the day of stay without notifying the hostel, the hostel may consider the accommodation contract to have been cancelled by the guest. The guest shall not be able to make any objection to the processing of this hostel based on this paragraph.
4. Our hostel will charge the following penalties if penalty fees are incurred.

Counting from the date of stay:Cancellation fee rate
14 days to 7 days prior to arrival:10% of the total amount of charges ※In case of more than 4 persons
6 days to 2 days prior charge:20% of the total amount of the room charge ※In the case of more than 4 persons
3 days to 2 days prior to arrival:20% of the total room charge ※In the case of less than 3 persons
The day before:50% of the total room charge
Up to 17:00 on the day of arrival:70% of the total amount of the room charge
After 5:00 p.m. on the day of arrival or without notice:100% of the total room charge

About the right to cancel the contract of this hostel

Article7.
This hostel may cancel the accommodation contract in any of the following cases.
(1) When it is recognized that the guest is likely to commit an act contrary to the provisions of laws and regulations, public order, or good morals, or is recognized to have committed the same act.
(2) When it is recognized that the guest falls under any of the following 1 to 3
1. Anti-social forces such as crime syndicates, crime syndicate members, crime syndicate quasi-members, or persons related to crime syndicates
2. When the applicant is a juridical person or other organization whose business activities are controlled by a crime syndicate or a crime syndicate member
3. A corporation whose officers are members of a crime syndicate.
(3) When a guest behaves in a manner that causes significant inconvenience to other guests.
(4) When a guest is deemed to be a person with a contagious disease
(5) When a violent demand is made or a burden exceeding a reasonable range is requested in relation to accommodation.
(6) When the hotel is unable to accommodate the guest due to a natural disaster or other force majeure
(7) When the accommodation falls under the case stipulated in Article 5, Item 3 of the Ryokan Business Act
(8) When the guest does not comply with the prohibitions on smoking inside the hostel, tampering with firefighting equipment, and other rules and regulations set forth by the hostel (limited to those necessary for fire prevention).
2.When this hostel cancels the accommodation contract in accordance with the preceding paragraph, the guest will not be charged for the accommodation services that have not yet been provided.


Accommodation Registration

Article 8.
Guests are required to register the following information at the front desk of the hostel on the day of their stay.
(1) Guest's name, age, gender, address and occupation
(2) In the case of a foreigner, nationality, passport number, place of entry and date of entry
(3) Departure date and scheduled departure time
(4) Any other information that the hostel deems necessary.


About hostel stays and closing hours

Article 9.
The time that the guest can use the room of our hostel is from 16:00 to 9:00 next morning.
In addition, the hostel is closed from 9:00 to 16:00.
In addition, the same applies to consecutive stays.


Compliance with usage rules

Article 10.
Guests are required to comply with the usage rules established by the hostel within the hostel.


Business Hours

Article 11.
The opening hours of the main facilities of the hostel are as follows
(1) Service hours of front desk, cashier, etc.
1. Curfew: 22:00
2. Front desk service: 7:00-22:00
(2) Ancillary service facility hours:
1. Shower room 16:00-22:30 (available from 7:30-8:45 in the morning)
2·Common room 16:00~23:30
1. hot water supply room 16:00~22:30
The hours in the preceding paragraph may be changed on a temporary basis when necessary or unavoidable. In that case, we will notify you by an appropriate method.


Payment of Fees

Article 12.
The breakdown of the accommodation charges to be paid by the guest shall be as shown on the hostel website.
2.Payment of the accommodation charge, etc., mentioned in the preceding paragraph shall be made in cash or by credit card or any other method approved by this hostel, at the front desk when the guest arrives or when this hostel requests.
3.Even if the guest does not voluntarily stay at the hostel after the hostel has offered the room to the guest and it has become available for use, the accommodation fee will be charged.


Liability of this hostel

Article 13.
Our hostel will compensate for any damage caused to the guest due to reasons attributable to our hostel in the performance of the accommodation contract and related contracts.
2.Our hostel has taken out fire insurance and liability insurance in order to cope with fire, etc. in case of emergency.


Handling when contracted guest rooms cannot be provided

Article 14.
In the event that the hostel is unable to provide the guest with the contracted room, the hostel shall, after consultation with the guest, arrange for other accommodation with the same conditions as much as possible.
2.In the event that the hostel is unable to find another accommodation despite the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the hostel shall pay to the guest a compensation fee equivalent to the basic accommodation charge as specified in Appendix 3. However, if there is no reason attributable to our hostel for not being able to provide a room, we will not pay the compensation fee.


Handling of Deposited Articles, etc.

Article 15.
Our hostel does not handle any deposited articles.
2. Our hostel shall not be liable for the loss or destruction of the possessions of Guests brought into the hostel by the Guest, including cash and other valuables, unless there was intention or gross negligence by the hostel.


Storage of guests' baggage or personal effects

Article 16.
If the guest's baggage arrives at our hostel before the stay, we will take charge of it and give it to the guest when the guest checks in at the front desk, only if we understand it before the arrival.
2.If, after the guest has checked out, the guest's baggage or personal belongings are left at the hostel, and the owner of the baggage or personal belongings is found, the hostel will contact the owner and ask for instructions. However, if the owner is not instructed or the owner cannot be found, the hostel will keep the item for 7 days including the day it was found and then report it to the nearest police station.
3.In the case of the preceding two paragraphs, the responsibility of this hostel for the custody of the guests' baggage or personal belongings shall be in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 2 of the preceding article.


Liability for parking

Article 17.
When the guests use the car park of our hostel, we only lend the place, and do not assume the responsibility of managing the car.
However, when we manage the car park, we will be responsible for compensation for any damage caused by our intention or negligence.


Liability of the guests

Article 18.
When our hostel suffers damage due to reasons attributable to the guest, the guest shall compensate for the damage to our hostel.


Rules of use

In order to ensure a safe and comfortable stay for all our guests, we have laid down the following rules of use in accordance with article 10 of our accommodation agreement. If you do not comply with these rules, we reserve the right to refuse you access to the hostel.

【Items to be observed for fire prevention】
1.Please do not bring explosives, volatile oils, or other inflammable materials into the facility.
2.Please smoke in the designated area. Please refrain from smoking in areas other than those designated.
3.Smoking is prohibited in all guest rooms. In addition, please do not smoke in your sleep.
4.Other activities that may cause a fire are strictly prohibited.

【Items to be observed for security reasons】
1.Please make sure your door is locked when you leave your room during your stay.
2.Please leave the key at the front desk when you go out of the building.
3.Please take care of your valuables by yourself.
4.Please refrain from meeting with visitors in your room. Please use the dining room for visits.
5.Please do not go out after 22:30.
6.Please do not enter or force entry to any place in the hostel that is not a business facility without permission.
7.Please do not leave your belongings in the hallway or lobby.
8.We do not allow minors to stay in the hostel without the permission of a parent or guardian.

【Items to be observed for maintenance and management】
1.Please refrain from bringing animals and birds (pets).
2.Please do not bring in any items that emit a strong odor.
3.Please do not bring in guns, swords, drugs, etc. that you are not legally allowed to possess.
4.Do not remove or move decorations inside the facility.
5.Do not allow non-registered guests to enter the facility.
6.Please refrain from high-pitched singing, boisterous behavior, or any other behavior that may cause discomfort to other people in the neighborhood.
7.Drinking and eating are not allowed in the guest rooms. Please use the dining room and common room.
8.Please refrain from bathing while intoxicated.
9.Please make sure to set the sheets on the futon before use.
10.If you damage, lose, or contaminate buildings, furniture, fixtures, or other items due to reasons other than force majeure, you may be asked to pay an equivalent amount.

【Other matters to be observed】
1.Please don't do anything in our hostel that may cause a disturbance to the public morals.
2.Please do not use sleeping pills or any other drugs that may cause trouble for other guests or our hostel.
3.Please do not distribute, post, or sell any advertising materials in our hostel without our permission.
4.We do not pay for shopping, tickets, cabs, postage stamps, luggage postage, etc. on behalf of our guests.
5.In the case of anti-social forces such as crime syndicates or their affiliates, or in the case of persons who may offend public order or good morals, the hotel will not accept such persons even after the accommodation contract has been concluded.The hotel will cancel the accommodation contract when the fact becomes known, even after the accommodation contract has been concluded.
